Ambitious Regeneration plans start in Canklow.
Work started this week on a project that will change the face of one of Rotherham's communities.
The scheme at Rother View Road will create 71 new affordable homes that will be available on a rent or shared ownership basis. The vision behind the project is "to create a modern environment with choice and flexibility that will appeal to a wide range of ages while incorporating an innovative and contempary design."
The project is a partnership between South Yorkshire Housing Association, Wates Living Space and RMBC. The cabinet member for Neighbourhoods and Adult Services, Cllr Sue Ellis said "We are particularly pleased that the 71 homes are affordable because getting your first home is becoming increasingly difficult and we are delighted that there has been no compromise on quality and design."
